FOR those looking to get out and about in the great outdoors for 2026, Limerick City and County Council has kicked off a new campaign spotlighting some hidden gem walks and trails across the county.
The new ‘Limerick on Foot’ campaign highlights three scenic trails across the Treaty – Kilmallock Looped Walk, Killeedy Eco Park Trail, and Adare Village Walking Trail.
Each walk is supported by printed maps and activity sheets to help walkers put the best foot forward. More information is available on limerick.ie/walking.
Limerick City and County Council created the campaign with the support of the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, funded under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme.
