LIMERICK Council is putting down roots in a new online platform which allows all new tree planting across the city and county to be recorded.
The trees.limerick.ie website invites any individual, group, business, or community to register all tree planting across the city and county.
The website will help track progress, celebrate local action, and support informed planning for climate action, biodiversity protection and sustainable development.
The site is supported by Mayor John Moran, who has set out a clear ambition to reach a target of at least one tree to be planted for every citizen in Limerick.

“This online platform is another practical way to show the importance we are placing in the greening of Limerick,” Mayor Moran said.
