LIMERICK businesses continued their digital transformation across last year, with new registrations of .ie websites increasing steadily.
A snapshot of new domain name registrations shows that 9,323 Limerick businesses now have .ie domains, with 1,451 new registrations made in 2025 alone.
Limerick recorded a 3.32 per cent increase in .ie domain registrations last year, ahead of the national average of 2 per cent.
The digital services and construction were noted as the sectors with the most new domain registrations throughout 2025, along with utilities, information and communication, arts, entertainment, and recreation.
