LIMERICK Council was asked for an update on when a public toilet will be installed at Castletroy Park and Clare Street Park.

In response to Fianna Fáil councillor Catherine Slattery at January’s Metropolitan District meeting, the local authority said that toilet facilities are physically in place but need connection to the Uisce Éireann network.

“Once this contract is in place, the Council will require Uisce Éireann to complete the actual connections,” Cllr Slattery was informed.

In relation to O’Brien Park on Clare Street, the Council said that it does not currently have plans or budget provisions for the installation and ongoing operation of public toilet facilities.
