LIMERICK City and County Council revealed that it is waiting for ground conditions to improve before opening the dog park in Castletroy Park.

In response to a query from Fine Gael councillor Peter Doyle, the local authority pointed out that the project was implemented in unfavourable conditions, leading to the cutting up of greens.

The Council told Cllr Doyle that it will advise on an open date once the greens are inspected and suitable to open for public use.

It is expected that it may be March/April before the dog park will be open to the public.
