MAYOR of Limerick John Moran has agreed to draw down grant funding for upgrade works at Mungret Park soccer pitch from the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme.
“The release of this funding will allow upgrades to the grass pitch at the facility to make it more durable. It is intended that the works will assist local club Mungret Regional FC in growing its membership, while alleviating pressure on the club’s current resources by supplying an alternative pitch for training activities,” Mayor Moran said.
“I want to thank the team within the Regeneration, Community, Sport, and Rural Development Directorate in Limerick City and County Council for their continued work on this matter.” The Mayor this past week signed off on a number of orders.
