OF Land And Sea – owned locally by the Evegallahoo Racing Syndicate of Newcastle West – was an impressive winner in the concluding Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Race of  €15,000 on a beautiful spring afternoon at Limerick’s Greenmount Park, Patrickswell.

Trained by Paul Hennessy of Kilkenny and ridden by four-time Cheltenham Bumper winner Patrick Mullins, the victor was returned at handsome odds of 14/1.

A Cheltenham winning handler (2021 Coral Cup – Heaven Help Us), Hennessy is perhaps better known as a Derby-winning greyhound trainer.

He has won such Classis in Ireland, England and Scotland on multiple occasions.

Lead members of this jovial syndicate involved with Limerick’s Bumper winner include Donal Egan, Alan O’Riordan and Mark Sullivan.

Of Land And Sea will now be targeted at the Cheltenham Racing Festival in March.
