
LIMERICK Sports Partnership has welcomed almost €745,00 in core funding allocation for 2026, announced as part of a record €33.36m national investment in sport by government through Sport Ireland.
The funding of €744,901 will support the delivery of inclusive sport and physical activity programmes in communities across Limerick and the rest of the country.
Welcoming the announcement, Phelim Macken, manager of Limerick Sports Partnership, said: “This funding is extremely welcome and provides vital stability for the work of Limerick Sports Partnership in 2026.
Core funding allows us to plan with confidence, support our staff and tutors, and continue delivering inclusive, high-quality sport and physical activity opportunities for people of all ages and abilities across Limerick.”
