LIMERICK Central Rotary Club Remembrance Tree has raised €5,000 in aid of the charity Cancer Fund for Children.
The Remembrance Tree was in the Castletroy Town Centre during December, and a cheque presentation took place in the Limerick Strand Hotel last month.
Cancer Fund for Children provides support for children and young people (up to age 24) impacted by cancer, either by their own diagnosis or by cancer in the family.
Every year they support over 1,500 children and young people across the island of Ireland.
They deliver a broad spectrum of support: therapeutic short breaks, emotional support, community and home-based support, support on hospital wards, and bereavement support.
