A STORMING finish earned Limerick a sensational 1-15 to 1-14 win against Wexford in Sunday’s breathtaking National Football League Division Three encounter at Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale.
Impact substitute Peter Nash (Kildimo/Pallaskenry) popped up with the match-winning score at the death, which came right down on top of a superb two-pointer from James Naughton, St Senan’s.
Naughton top-scored for Limerick with seven points.
Wind-assisted Wexford were 0-9 to 0-5 ahead at the interval.
The valuable success puts the Shannonsiders in good form ahead of a tricky assignment away to Sligo next weekend.
Andrew Meade (Rathkeale) is a doubt for the fixture after he was forced off injured on Sunday.
