BUS Éireann has been awarded the tender for the operation of the 310 bus route serving Limerick City and Castletroy.
The National Transport Authority (NTA) confirmed the news to Independent Cllr Elena Secas, who shared the news on social media.
The new route will commence from April 20. It will be realigned to operate via Bloodmill Road, serving stops on Childers Road and Bloodmill Road before rejoining the current alignment at Groody Road.
The new route will mean it will no longer serve the section of Ballysimon Road east of the Childers Road, Ballysimon Road roundabout, which will be serviced by Route 328 instead.
