A HISTORICAL discussion on a series of tragic air disasters that took place at Shannon Airport between 1946 and 1961 will take place on Friday February 20.
The Limerick Historical Society will host the talk from 7pm at the St Saviours Community Hall on Edward Street, with speaker Peter McGarry.
In total 200 lives were lost across five crashes in the 15-year period, including the TWA Star of Cairo, a Pan American flight, a KLM plane, the Alitalia, and the President Airlines disaster.
