THE official opening of the Shannon Lights Exhibition took place at the Limerick Museum at the end of January.
Curated by Mary Conroy, it is the first artist in residence in the history of the museum. The theme of her residency was the Shannon Hydro Electric Scheme (1925-29), which, though based in Clare, had a major impact on Limerick and fisheries on the Shannon.
The exhibition will be on display in Limerick Museum until March 14.
It is open to the public Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm. Admission free.
