
SHANNON bettered Cork Constitution 16-10 in the semi-final of the Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup at Thomond Park.
A try by Cian McCann, along with a conversion and two penalties by Jamie Gavin, gave Shannon a 13-0 interval lead.
With wind advantage following the turnaround, Con’ came back into the contest but another Gavin penalty made safe the home win.
Highfield beat Garryowen 19-10 in the other semi in Dooradoyle.
The Plate final will involve Old Crescent and Clonmel.
On the international front, Young Munster trio Young Munster trio Bailey Faloon, David Begley, and Ger Slattery (coach) were involved with Ireland in the brilliant 42-33 win over Scotland in the Clubs International at Energia Park, Dublin.
The winners received the Dalriada Cup.
