THE pedestrian crossing at the junction of Bedford Row, Thomas Street, and O’Connell Street in Limerick City is to be reinstated.

The reinstatement was confirmed by Fine Gael councillor Sarah Kiely, who was advised by Limerick Council that the works are to take place between March 2 and 6.

The Council told Cllr Kiely the works will include removal and replacement of granite paving sections and the installation of traffic poles, push-buttons, and pedestrian signal heads.

The Fine Gael councillor welcomed the works, which she said were “at my request and as a result of my ongoing representation”.
