Downpours ahead as thunderstorm warning issued for Limerick

A WARNING has been sounded by the national weather service with a last-minute thunderstorm warning issued for Limerick and surrounding counties.

Met Éireann just an hour ago issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for Limerick, Clare, Kerry, and Galway, citing potential lightning damage, spot flooding, and difficult travel conditions.

The weather service warned for “thundery downpours for a time”.

The warning came into place at 9.39am this Friday morning and will be in place until 11am.
