LIMERICK’S team to face All-Ireland winners Tipperary in the National Hurling League at Semple Stadium, Thurles on Saturday (5.30pm) is most notable for the return of Kyle Hayes.
The five-time All-Ireland medallist received a serious neck injury during a club fixture with Kildimo/Pallaskenry last September but has made a great recovery to be handed the number seven jersey for this weekend’s assignment.
Across League and Championship, this will be Hayes’ 80th competitive match for Limerick.
He debuted as a 17-year-old in the League of 2017.
