FOLLOWING the successful inaugural event in March 2025, the Limerick IT Summit returns to Dell Technologies’ Raheen campus on February 26, 2026, expanded to accommodate over 450 attendees from across Ireland’s business and technology sectors.

The Limerick IT Summit, presented by WebDevBuilders and Limerick City and County Council, exists to build meaningful connections within Ireland’s tech community whilst ensuring SMEs have access to the information, education, and partnerships they need to thrive in an increasingly AI-driven world.

Main sponsor Limerick City and County Council has been instrumental in supporting the initiative, organisers said.

Brendan Troy, Limerick Council’s Head of Economic and Tourism Development, articulated the Limerick IT Summit’s significance at the launch, saying: “Conferences like this might look, on the surface, like a day out of the office with some talks, some coffee and a lot of lanyards. But for a city like Limerick, events like this are far more than that. They’re part of the engine that drives our business ecosystem forward.”

Mr Troy emphasised how such events transform abstract concepts into practical tools, build the networks that make cities competitive, support talent pipelines, raise regional profiles, and build confidence within the business community.

“That sense of ‘we’re in this together’ is one of the most valuable outcomes of a conference, and it can’t be downloaded or streamed. You have to be in the room,” he said.

Christopher Heaney, CEO of WebDevBuilders and founder of the Limerick IT Summit, explains: “We created this because Limerick’s tech community needed a space where businesses looking for solutions could connect with the companies that can deliver them.”

This year’s Limerick IT Summit kicks off the inaugural MidWest TechFest (midwesttechfest.ie) – a month-long celebration of the region’s thriving tech sector. The event also launches Startup Atlas (startupatlas.ie), a new competition and ecosystem supporting pre-founders and early-stage entrepreneurs.
