THE new Garda Station under construction for Newcastle West is set to open in October.
That’s according to County Limerick TD and Minister of State at the Justice Department, following a visit to the building this past week.
Minister Collins received work from contractors, Conack Construction, of the completion timeframe for the new Garda Distract headquarters.
The OPW will be responsible for managing the Garda estate in close cooperation with the Garda Authorities.

Minister Collins said the new station will be “a game changer for policing in rural Limerick”.
