GARDAÍ are reminding drivers to keep their doors locked while driving after an incident on the evening of February 10 when, at around 8.20pm, a woman in her eighties was stopped at the traffic lights at Union Cross on the Ennis Road.
A man opened the passenger door of the woman’s car and snatched her handbag from the seat.
Gardaí in Mayorstone are investigating and appealing to anyone who was in the Ennis Road area around 8.20pm that evening — particularly anyone stopped at those lights — who may have observed someone acting suspiciously to make contact at Mayorstone Garda Station on 061 456 980.
