Funding allocated for communty-led West Limerick projects

OVER half a million in funding has been allocated to 30 community-led projects across West Limerick and North Kerry from SSE Renewables.

This marks the latest contribution from SSE’s annual funding programme, bringing the company’s total contribution to local groups to over €3.75million since 2008.

Among the major projects awarded is Killeedy Eco Park, which has received over €23,000 to develop a sustainable outdoor classroom within the park.

Other funded projects include solar PV installations, battery storage systems, and energy‑efficiency upgrades for community facilities.
