MORE than 7,500 native Irish trees were handed out at Adare Manor Fields as part of the Limerick Hare’s Corner initiative.
Almost 200 participants in the project will use the trees to help develop 124 mini woodlands, 108 mini orchards, and 120 native hedgerows as part of the project.
The Hare’s Corner project is inspired by the traditional farming practice of leaving a small section of land reserved for nature (the ‘hare’s corner’).
Participants are encouraged to log their new tree’s on trees.limerick.ie to track and celebrate their work. More information on theharescorner.ie.
