LIMERICK-based modular buildings provider Modulacc completed the Mid West’s first greenfield, fully modular school at Tubber National School in County Clare.

The new campus was opened as part of the school’s 150th anniversary celebrations. There was even a surprise visit from the President Catherine Connolly.

The new building provides the school with a modern learning environment that blends functionality, comfort, and energy-efficiency.

Modulacc managing director Colin McNamara said the company was “honoured to be invited to the school’s official opening as it’s rare that members of our team get to celebrate significant milestones like this with the building owners and end-users”.

“We appreciate having the opportunity to deliver this project, the Mid West’s first fully modular greenfield school, but also to be part of Tubber National School’s next 150 years and beyond.”

Speaking about making the move to the nearby greenfield site, the school’s principal, Patricia Lee, said: “It has been a long journey campaigning to get our new school, we are all so proud to have a bright, spacious, and inclusive learning environment where our students can thrive.”

The new school, a 300 square-metre modular building, comprises 11 modules. The interior features a foyer, two spacious classrooms with built-in toilet areas, three administrative offices, a canteen, toilets, and storage areas. The exterior includes a basketball court, playground, green area, and drop-off area with parking.

“We sincerely thank the team at Modulacc for bringing our vision to life and for their constant support and collaboration along the way,” Mc Lee concluded.
