FINE Gael councillor Gregory Conway has asked Limerick Council for an update on a previous motion in relation to traffic calming measures and extra street lighting in Fairyfield, Kilmallock, County Limerick.

Cllr Conway was informed at February’s Cappamore-Kilmallock area meeting that any new requests need to be submitted to the public lighting team for consideration, unless it is through a General Municipal Allocation (GMA) funding stream.

In terms of traffic calming, the Council explained that 70 per cent of residents in the estate would be required to agree a plebiscite in favour such works.
