FIANNA Fáil councillor Martin Ryan called for Limerick Council to progress the installation of lights for pedestrians along the new footpath in Pallasgreen on the N24 between the village and past St Anthony’s to Mount Catherine Road.

“If Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) will not allow full street lighting, I ask that pedestrian illumination posts be considered,” Cllr Ryan said at February’s Cappamore-Kilmallock area meeting.

The Council said it will discuss what alternative pedestrian lighting options may be suitable to install along the footpath between the village and Mount Catherine Road at their next scheduled meeting with TII.
