BALLYBROWN emerged as worthy winners of the All-Ireland Junior B Hurling Championship following a snug 0-14 to 1-5 final defeat of Tommy Larkins (Galway) at St Ita’s Park, Raheenagh.
Ahead 0-7 to 0-3 at the turnaround, a couple of remarkable saves from goalkeeper Conor O’Neill late on were necessary before the local outfit were assured of the Killeedy GAA Perpetual Cup.
Dave Flaherty-managed Ballybrown were under the joint captaincy of Kevin Foster and Seán Healy.
Andrew Cliffe again top-scored and was recognised as the Player of the Tournament.
The most outstanding individual on show on Sunday was Barry O’Connor.
