Status Yellow wind warning issued for Limerick

LIMERICK and the rest of Ireland have been warned of potential difficult travel conditions and fallen trees from midnight tonight from high speed winds.

Met Éireann issued a Status Yellow wind warning for the entire country, coming into effect at midnight tonight and lasting until 6pm on Thursday.

The weather service said that “strong and gusty southwesterly winds” may be observed, along with “difficult travelling conditions, debris or loose objects displaced, and some fallen branches or trees”.

Across the entire country on the coast, a Status Yellow gale warning has been issued from midnight tonight for a 24-hour period. Met Éireann predicts the southwesterly winds may reach gale force eight at times.
