AGRI Aware’s Farm Walk and Talk series saw over 530 secondary school students attend Salesian Agricultural College in County Limerick.
Agricultural science students from college staff and patrons of Agri Aware on a number of areas of the Leaving Certificate Agricultural Science curriculum.
Talks focused on soil health, dairy production, which saw students engage in a milking demonstration, care of the newborn calf, calf-to-beef production, sheep production, ATV safety and technology, low emission slurry spreading technology and on the Individual Investigate Study project.
Talks were delivered by college staff and Agri Aware patrons Dairymaster, Grassland Agro and ICBF and Agri Aware education officers.
