
GARDAI in Shannon are appealing for witnesses following a single-vehicle collision in Shannon, Co. Clare, on Saturday, 21st March 2026.
Shortly after 11:30pm, Gardaà and emergency services responded to a collision involving an electric scrambler on Bóthar Na Luachra, Shannon. The driver, a man in his early 20s, was taken from the scene by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick, with serious injuries.
The scene has been preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local traffic diversions are in place.
Gardaà are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating GardaÃ.
