FAMILIES are invited to don their pyjamas and settle in for a heartwarming theatrical treat as The Witch Who Couldn’t Sleep arrives at Belltable on Thursday April 2.

Written by Steven Lee, this charming “Story Time” musical will be staged at 12.30pm and 2.30pm, offering a gentle and engaging experience for audiences of all ages—from toddlers to grandparents.

The production follows Natascha the Witch, whose exciting magical life leaves her wide awake when she should be fast asleep. As she searches for a way to drift off, young audiences are drawn into a cosy world of storytelling, song and imagination.

From the creators of There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly and A Big Egg, the show blends live performance with music and animation, creating an immersive and interactive experience. Designed as a sing-along musical, it encourages children and families to take part in the fun.

The story is adapted from Lee’s best-selling collection, How The Koala Learnt To Hug and Other Australian Fairytales, and carries the same warmth and gentle humour that has made his work a favourite among young readers.
