GARDAÍ have charged a woman and a teenage girl in connection with a savage assault on Limerick woman, Scarlett Faulkner, last Saturday.
Ms Faulkner suffered critical head injuries when she was attacked at the side of the R494 road just outside the village of Birdhill, County Tipperary, on March 21.
The young mother, who is aged in her late 20s and who has a six-year-old daughter, remains in a critical condition at Cork University Hospital Limerick.

The pair were arrested at an address in Limerick last Thursday.
The woman and girl are to appear before Limerick District Court at around 5pm this evening.
