LOCALS in Croom lauded the success of the annual Easter Egg Hunt, held at Croom Town Park.

The Easter event, hosted by the Croom Community Development Association, took place on Good Friday (April 3), with families turning out in high spirits despite the intermittent showers.

Children took part in games including the bean bag toss, egg and spoon races, and, of course, the search for the elusive ‘golden egg’.

Local resident Maureen Curtin, who attended with her two grandchildren, praised the initiative, saying: “It is great to have events like this in Croom.

It is especially wonderful to see the park getting such admiration from the community; it’s a fantastic resource for us all.”
