THE new Vacant Above the Shop Grant, now available to applicants across Limerick, will provide funding of up to €135,000 to support the conversion of vacant spaces above commercial premises into residential units, while retaining the commercial use at the ground floor.
News of the new measures was welcomed by Limerick Fine Gael senator Maria Byrne, describing them as “practical and impactful steps towards addressing housing supply challenges while breathing new life into our towns and villages”.
