
THE line-up for the €160,000 Final – winners’ prize €80,000, of the Con and Annie Kirby Memorial final this Saturday night at Limerick was decided at the weekend.
In the second semi-final, Bockos Gold, trained by Graham Holland of Tipperary, produced a career-best display to remain unbeaten in the competition.
His clock was 27.89 seconds.
In the opening semi, Ballymac Setanta delivered an equally authoritative performance in the opening semi-final for trainer Liam Dowling of Kerry.
His time was 27.97 seconds.
For the final night, which will be shown on Virgin Media 2 (9-10pm), gates open at 6.30pm.
Two of the finalists are bred by David O’Connor, brother of Cork Senior Hurling manager Ben.
Strong local interest surrounds Paul Hennessy (Kilkenny)-trained Jaykay Fly, owned by Carol O’Riordan of Newcastle West.
