LIMERICK-based artist Willzee has released his new single The Tribe, a reflective and deeply personal track exploring heritage, identity and the courage required to forge a new path — the second release ahead of his upcoming album Deep Tinker, due May 22, 2026, on Welcome to the New World.

Following his debut single Travelling Man, the new release turns inward, drawing on Willzee’s experience growing up within Traveller culture and community. The song revisits those formative years with a renewed sense of understanding, charting the transition from a life shaped by tradition to one defined by education, music and leadership.

Standing as the last child in a long family line and the final chapter of his father’s legacy, Willzee finds himself at a crossroads between honouring the past and defining his own future. The Tribe captures that tension with quiet but considerable power — a breaking of cycles and the careful carving out of a new identity rooted equally in pride and progression.

The track serves as a prelude to Deep Tinker, an album Willzee describes as drawing on ancestral storytelling and a determination to challenge prejudice. “It’s like my ancestors awaken in me each time I hear this album,” he said.
