A GLOBAL innovation conference is set to take place in the Treaty City this October, it has been announced.

The Futura Innovation Conference will take place on Shannonside from October 19 to 21.

The international event will see more than 1,500 participants, 400 speakers, and 200 sessions across seven “interconnected industry tracks” in a “cross-sector innovation experience designed to bring together the people who shape decisions, fund progress, and deliver real-world outcomes”.

A spokesperson said that Futura is “intentionally designed as a shared environment where industry leaders, policymakers, investors, founders, and researchers engage in the same conversations” with the aim of fostering “collaboration that can translate innovation across industries, markets, and regions”, including AgTech, sustainability, culture, media and entertainment, enterprise, infrastructure and logistics, innovative technologies, MedTech and life sciences, transport, and aerospace.

Participants will take part in a mix of “curated sessions, targeted meetings, and city-wide gatherings designed to turned conversation into action”, organisers said.

“From investor introductions and policy discussions to industry-led sessions and cross-sector collaboration, the format creates practical opportunities to build partnerships, explore new markets, and move initiatives forward.“

“Limerick plays a central role in the experience. Its compact, walkable city centre enables a highly connected format, allowing participants to move between venues, conversations, and gatherings throughout the day.”

“Innovation today rarely happens within a single discipline,” said Chris Valentine, producer of the Futura Innovation Conference.

“Futura is designed to convene the right mix of people, connecting industry, policy, and capital in ways that enable ideas to move beyond discussion and into real-world impact.”

Futura will announce speakers and further details for the conference in the near future.

“Registration is now open, and opportunities remain for speakers, partners, and sponsors to participate in the 2026 experience,” organisers said.
