GARDAÍ seized a substantial amount of cocaine in County Limerick at the beginning of the Riverfest bank holiday long weekend.
A post on the An Garda Síochána Limerick social media pages confirmed that officers operating in the county targeted “individuals suspected of the sale and supply of drugs in the region” in an operation on Friday May 1.
According to the Garda statement, €12,000 worth of cocaine was seized during the targeted operation, alongside €12,000 in cash.
A man was arrested also as part of the operation.

Gardaí said that the drugs were to be sent for further analysis, which would determine the course of the investigation.
Gardaí added that “investigations are ongoing” following the bank holiday weekend drugs and cash seizure.
