LEEDS six-piece Adult DVD, one of the UK’s most hotly tipped new acts, play Dolan’s Kasbah on Sunday November 29.
Signed to legendary independent label Fat Possum and backed by BBC 6 Music, the electro-punk outfit have been making considerable noise since their formation. Rolling Stone UK named them a Ones to Watch for 2026, and the band have earned playlist spots at BBC 6 Music alongside support from BBC Radio 1. Last year they performed live at the BBC 6 Music Festival.
The band was formed by vocalist Harry Hanson and synth-player Greg Lonsdale before expanding to a full six-piece lineup, completed by Danny Blackburn on guitar and synth, Jake Williams on synth, Jonathan Newell on drums and George Manson on bass.
Their sound draws on a broad range of influences — from chorus-driven indie to acid house floor-fillers — yet their appeal remains consistent: sharp humour, bold danceable instrumentals and instantly memorable songwriting. The band are also active as DJs and remixers, demonstrating a restless creative energy that has set them apart in an increasingly crowded field.
With Fat Possum behind them and BBC support firmly in place, Adult DVD look poised for a significant breakthrough. Limerick audiences will have the chance to catch them up close as that moment arrives.
