TIM Rice (Limerick GC) carded an excellent five-under par round of 65 to win the Foxrock GC ProAm, and with it the coveted Wesley Pappin Cup.
Rice finished two shots ahead of joint-second placed Keith Shandon (Cloverhill GC) and David Ryan (East Cork GC).
An obvious highlight of Rice’s round was a stunning eagle at the long fifth.
This was a third win of the season for Rice, who is second only to Simon Thornton the PGA Order of Merit.
Rice followed up in a three-way tie with Niall Kearney and Liam Grehan at Castle GC.
Limerick GC will host its ProAm on August 22, and Newcastle West has one pencilled-in for the following day.
