Over 500 new address points in Limerick over past year

A TOTAL of 544 new residential address points were recorded in Limerick the 12 months to June 2025, according to the latest GeoDirectory Residential Buildings Report released this week.

The new report, prepared by EY, found that a further 663 residential buildings were under construction across the county in June 2025.

In Limerick, the residential vacancy rate in Q2 2025 was 3.7 per cent.

The national vacancy rate remained at a record low of 3.7 per cent, which is a 0.1 per cent decrease from the corresponding period in Q2 2024.

The report also shows that the average property transaction price in Limerick was €321,159.

Dara Keogh, CEO of GeoDirectory, said that the company continues to see low levels of vacancy in the residential property sector, which reflects persistent demand.
