TREATY United are a step closer to returning to top-flight football after securing a First Division promotion play-off spot with a cracking 2-0 win against Wexford at Ferrycarrig Park.

Both goals arrived in the closing half through Patrick Ferry and Mark Byrne.

The reward is a Munster Derby contest with Cobh Ramblers, with the first leg listed for the Markets Field this Friday.

Tommy Barrett’s side are assured of their biggest crowd of the season at Garryowen for this important fixture.
