THERE were international flavours on offer at CBS Sexton Street for the school’s annual International Day.
Students representing over 40 countries served up a reflection of the school’s multicultural spirit, cooking up a raft of international dishes.
Students also created stands featuring posters, traditional music, and national dress from their native lands.
A highlight of the day was the culinary competition, judged by past pupil, chef Keith Piggot.
Winners included Malaysia for Best Savoury Dish, Afghanistan for Best Rice Dish, and Argentina for Best Sweet Dish.
Principal Mr O’Connor praised the students, families, and staff for their efforts, noting that “International Day is one of the most special events in our school calendar. It highlights the unity and respect that define our school community, while celebrating the rich cultural backgrounds that make Coláiste Mhichíl such a unique place to learn and grow.”
