FIANNA Fáil councillor Catherine Slattery has called on the local authority to cut the grass at the side of the road on the L5109.
The City East representative also wants signs to be put in place stating ‘slow bend pull in’ for people who normally do not use this road, so oncoming traffic are safe.
“With the grass cut the road will be wide and safer,” she told the Council.
In response, the local authority explained that it issued correspondence to the landowner on the L5109 on September 29.
The Council also said it would review the signage and road-markings layout along this route.
