THE Limerick Festival of Science returns this November as part of Science Week 2025, running from November 9 to 16, proudly supported by Research Ireland.

This year marks a major milestone, 30 years of Science Week, with the theme ‘Then. Today. Tomorrow’, inviting all to reflect on how science has shaped our past, informs our present, and inspires our future.

Led by the University of Limerick, in collaboration with Mary Immaculate College, and Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), the festival will spark the imagination and inspire minds on the science, technology, engineering, and maths that shape the world around us, and with over 100 Festival events planned – there will be something for everybody.

Dr Sarah Hayes, COO of SSPC at University of Limerick, shared: “The Limerick Festival of Science is set to ignite curiosity and inspire innovation by creating dialogue around and celebrating the fantastic STEM across the Limerick region.  Taking place across a variety of community venues in both city and county, the festival offers an engaging programme designed to bring science to life for all ages. Join us in celebrating three decades of discovery and be part of the conversation about where science can take us next.”
