A GOFUNDME campaign is up and running to support Stephen Ryan, a well-known figure within Munster Junior Rugby.
The father of three, better known as Ryano, from County Clare is recovering from serious heart surgery.
In a post on Facebook, Munster Junior Rugby explained: “In early October, Ryano underwent emergency open-heart surgery that led to serious complications and time on life support. He’s now fighting hard and improving bit by bit, but it’s a long road to recovery.”
“Let’s rally behind Ryano and his young family. If we all row in, even €2 can help ease the burden on his family and show that the rugby community in Munster stands together.”
Among the clubs he lined out with during his career was Presentation in Limerick.
Ryano’s family are also encouraging the wider public to receive regular health checks and to consider blood donations, as supplies are currently low.
