LIMERICK goalkeeper Josh Ryan has retained the Golden Boot Award, presented for the top scorer in the County Senior Football Championship.
Ryan, currently sidelined with a knee injury, kicked a superb 4-35 (47) in the competition, to finish ahead of Iain Corbett (8-16, 40, Newcastle West), Bob Childs (1-30, 33, Galtee Gaels), Eoin Hurley (2-26, 32, Newcastle West) and John Hutton (0-31, Mungret St Paul’s).
Peter Nash of Kildimo Pallaskenry won the inaugural award (2023) with 4-33.
Meanwhile, by virtue of Limerick’s qualification for the Tailteann Cup final, our county winning clubs received a bye through to their respective Munster Football Championships.
For Mungret St Paul’s (senior), Askeaton/Ballysteen/Kilcornan (ABK, intermediate) and Ahane (junior) that journey begins this weekend.
