Golden Boot Award for Limerick’s Ryan

LIMERICK goalkeeper Josh Ryan has retained the Golden Boot Award, presented for the top scorer in the County Senior Football Championship.

Ryan, currently sidelined with a knee injury, kicked a superb 4-35 (47) in the competition, to finish ahead of Iain Corbett (8-16, 40, Newcastle West), Bob Childs (1-30, 33, Galtee Gaels), Eoin Hurley (2-26, 32, Newcastle West) and John Hutton (0-31, Mungret St Paul’s).

Peter Nash of Kildimo Pallaskenry won the inaugural award (2023) with 4-33.

Meanwhile, by virtue of Limerick’s qualification for the Tailteann Cup final, our county winning clubs received a bye through to their respective Munster Football Championships.

For Mungret St Paul’s (senior), Askeaton/Ballysteen/Kilcornan (ABK, intermediate) and Ahane (junior) that journey begins this weekend.
