FORMER Ireland and Munster great Dave Kilcolyne has launched a new podcast with talk-SPORT, titled ‘What the Ruck’.
He retired from the sport in May, after a glittering career that earned well over 200 appearances with his province and close on 60 international caps.
Alongside Kilcoyne (36) in the interview area is respected journalist Luke Delaney.
The Killer taps into a black book of former teammates, rivals, and legends.
Forget the post-match clichés, this is the show for the stories you’re not meant to hear, the dressing room fallouts, the secrets from tours, and the unfiltered reality of life as an international player.
In the series premiere, Conor Murray reveals untold changing room stories and tour secrets. He also becomes candid on his “far from perfect” relationship with departed Munster boss Graham Rowntree and life under the strict regime of Joe Schmidt with Ireland.
In the latest offering is Munster favourite Simon Zebo. This is an incredibly honest chat about the highs and lows of his career.
He speaks openly about his shock at being sidelined by Schmidt during the 2015 World Cup and reveals how he felt after being excluded from the Ireland squad when he moved to Racing 92 in the Top 14 (France).
Also Kilcoyne and Zebo spill the beans on what the Munster camp was really like under future two-time World Cup-winning South Africa coach Rassie Erasmus (Munster 2016/’17); the tac-tics, the culture, and the moments that defined that era.
In the summer, Kiloyne graduated from the University of Limerick with a professional diploma in aviation leasing and finance.
‘What The Ruck’ is hosted on Acast.
