LIMERICK’S County towns will be bustling with activity with Christmas fairs and markets this December, with more festive cheer than you can shake a candy cane at.
With a heartwarming theme of ‘Together for Christmas in Limerick’ this year, County Limerick will enjoy enchanting markets, family-friendly experiences, vibrant street performances and cultural celebrations in the coming weeks. From strolling through the city streets or exploring charming county towns, there’s something to warm every heart.
Rathkeale will light up for Christmas with its Christmas Market and lights in the Town Square this Friday (December 5). The day will kick off with a Christmas Market taking place at 11am. Special guests include Santa and Mrs Claus who will turn on the Christmas lights at the crib at 4.30pm followed by fireworks.
Castlemahon Community Development Group Christmas Market takes place this Saturday (December 6) at 5pm. The lighting of the Christmas tree and the village Christmas lights will also be taking place as part of Castlemahon’s very first Christmas Market.
The Hospital Community Council have also announced that their Christmas Market is taking place on Saturday (December 6) from 5pm. There will be a very special guest dressed in a red suit on the evening to meet the children.
Santa will also make a special stop into Castleconnell at the Castle Oaks House Hotel from December 2 to 18 and is eager to meet all the boys and girls before he sets off on his magical sleigh ride later this month. Visit The Castle Oak’s enchanting Grotto experience for all the wonder and joy of the season.
The annual Christmas Village In The Village market in Castleconnell takes place this Sunday (December 7). You can enjoy walking through this fabulous market with a hot chocolate and have a look at all the fabulous items being sold by locals as well as trying out some tasty treats from local bakers. You might even get some Christmas presents sorted. The fair starts at 10am.
Bruff Boutique Christmas Market also takes place this Sunday, December 7 at Rockbarton Garden Centre from 11am. Discover unique gifts and festive décor in a charming 18th-century courtyard, with plenty of seasonal treats and cozy Christmas vibes.
A four-day Christmas Market takes place at Newcastle West Community Centre from 12pm to 8pm daily from Saturday December 20 to Tuesday December 23 featuring artisan crafts, festive food, family amusements, and live entertainment. This event is perfect for last-minute gifts and holiday cheer.
