
ALERTS of a wind storm for Limerick this Tuesday have been upgraded from a Status Yellow to a higher Status Orange warning by the national weather service.
Met Éireann this Monday morning updated the previously Status Yellow wind warning for Limerick on Tuesday to the higher Status Orange level. This comes as Storm Bram is set to touch down on the west of Ireland.
Limerick is one of several counties along the west of Ireland with the upgraded status, along with Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Clare, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, and, in the east, Wexford.
Warnings during Storm Bram under the Status Orange alert for Limerick include potential wave overtopping, flooding of low-lying coastal areas, difficult travel conditions, and displacement of loose objects and debris.

- External Walls: Up to €8,000 Grant
- Attic: Up to €1,500 Grant
- Cavity Walls: Up to €1,700 Grant
- Internal Dry Lining: Up to €4,500 Grant
Outdoor events may also be impacted by the Status Orange warning.
The warning will come into place from 10am on Tuesday morning and last until 6pm.
A lesser Status Yellow warning will still be in place in Limerick from 3am on Tuesday.
