Ard Scoil look for Harty Double

-

NOT since the famous CBS Sexton side of the 1906’s has a Limerick school won back to back Harty Cups. That is the feat which Limerick City School Ard Scoil Ris will look to achieve this Sunday at 2.30pm in the Gaelic Grounds.

Captained by Declan Hannon and Shane Dowling, the Limerick men will face Charleville in the decider. The Charleville side, which plays in the Limerick schools championship, is captained by Limerickman Davi Reidy.
The two schools met this year already in that competition, with Ard Scoil winning a tight game.
With stars such as Hannon returning for a second crown, Ard Scoil will be the slight favourites to win on Sunday.
The Limerick school is coached by Limerick hurler Niall Moran and Moran will be looking to add another title to his coaching haul.
With a backdoor system in place, both sides will go through to the All Ireland series, however, everyone wants a Harty Cup medal.
Best of luck to both sides. On a final note, the Dr Harty Cup Final this Sunday will be streamed live on the Munster GAA website. Commentary will be by Mal Keaveny. Also, Limerick’s Live 95fm will carry coverage with Liam Aherne.
